Description

This sculpture is an elaboration of one of the designs I made for the sculpture symposium "Light on Stone". Inspired by Vasalis's poem "Time". "I dreamed that I was living slowly ... slower than the oldest stone."

My associations here: the slow passing of time. To move in time and space. In this sculpture, the so-called negative space is also important, the gaps between the shapes. It allows you to imagine the space around it. For example to what lies beneath (a hidden past), or as a stepping stone to… (endlessness).

It is made ofAnröchtergrünstein, a weather-resistant German limestone. Carved into structure with the pointed chisel. There are sturdy pins at the bottom for solidity.
