A combination of materials: basalt lava, cast iron, stainless steel and leather.
I was able to save the basalt lava from a pile of stones on the grounds of Concordia Creative Industries (Utrecht). No waste, but it had to go there because of future housing construction. I once bought the cast iron mold (quite a weight) at the brocante in France.
It has been quite a puzzle before this shape came into being. Because of the open ears and the narrow stainless steel part, it has become a kind of creature. A new roommate.
